The International Fiscal Association’s Women of IFA Network (WIN) in Canada, in partnership with other francophone WIN initiatives, is excited to welcome Sophie Chatel, Canadian Member of Parliament for the Pontiac constituency in Québec, for a hybrid event on May 27. Following the theme of “The Sky is the Limit,” Ms. Chatel will discuss her incredible career path and share her experiences as an international tax professional at the forefront of tax developments.
Ms. Chatel has been a member of the Canadian Parliament since September 2021. From 2017 to 2021, she was head of the Tax Treaties Unit at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration. Prior to that, she held key positions in international tax policy within the Department of Finance and the Canada Revenue Agency.
Venez rencontrer Sophie Chatel, députée de Pontiac, dans le cadre d’un événement hybride le 27 mai prochain, organisé par le réseau Women of IFA Network (WIN) de l’Association fiscale internationale (section canadienne), en partenariat avec d’autres initiatives francophones du WIN. « Toujours plus haut » sera le thème abordé par Mme Chatel qui nous parlera de son incroyable parcours professionnel et de ses expériences en fiscalité internationale, étant toujours à l’avant-plan des nouveaux développements fiscaux.
Mme Chatel est membre du Parlement canadien depuis septembre 2021. De 2017 à 2021, elle a dirigé l’Unité des conventions fiscales au Centre de politique et d’administration fiscales de l’Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques. Auparavant, elle a occupé des postes clés en matière de politique fiscale internationale au sein du ministère des Finances et de l’Agence du revenu du Canada.
